Volunteer

The Sandy Historical Society Museum is small, and we depend on history lovers and volunteers of all kinds to keep our doors open! These are the areas we are most in need of volunteers to help us with:

  • Docent/Visitor Center Support:
    Greet visitors and answer general questions about our area.

  • Membership Secretary: Thank members for gifts and send out renewal reminders

  • Collections Photography: Photograph artifacts for museum database

  • Digitizing: Scan and upload historic photos and documents for museum database

  • Accessions: Help process artifacts into museum collections

  • Social Media Outreach: Help keep current museum activities in front of the community and build engagement

  • Newsletter: Contribute articles about local history and museum activities for our “Buckboard Tales”

  • General Office Support

Museum experience is not required. We are happy to train you, so join us to get involved in our community and learn a new skill.
